Innovation leadership team
Global Digital Innovation Director
As Global Digital Innovation Director Serge leads the programme to identify, develop and integrate new digital concepts globally across Aviva. Prior to joining Aviva, he was co-founder and CEO of Q App, a mobile ordering and payments platform. Before that, Serge worked in a variety of senior consulting, corporate and startup roles, including as MD of Archant Digital Ventures and Group Strategy Director at the sports digital specialist Perform, where he was part of the senior management team that grew the company to a $1bn IPO over 5 years. Serge holds a Masters degree in Engineering from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Head of Innovation Operations
Paul is Head of Innovation Operations for the Aviva Group and manages a portfolio of innovation activity out of the London Digital Garage, including leading Connected Vehicle activity. Paul has over 20 years experience working in both the Operational Business and IT & Change Delivery environments of multiple insurance companies. He has delivered Insurance Telematics solutions, the digitisation of traditionally traded insurance products and Enterprise Smartphone Apps. Paul has initiated Aviva’s engagement with the external Technology Start Up and entrepreneur community and was awarded the Digital Leader of the Year in 2016 by Insurance Post Magazine.
Global Head of Start-up Innovation
Anthony is Global Head of Start-up Innovation for Aviva Group and is responsible for identifying, validating and integrating emerging technologies and concepts into the organisation amongst a wider portfolio of innovation activities. Prior to joining Aviva, Anthony was Founder & COO of unBound Media, a digital content business he ran globally until its eventual exit in 2016 to SMG. Previous to that Anthony has worked in a variety of roles within the start-up ecosystem with a specific focus on product development and scouting in Israel, Asia, the US and the UK.
Global Head of Start Up Delivery
As Global Head of Start Up Delivery, Elie works with the Start Up and Innovation community to identify emerging businesses, technologies and operating models that can deliver material results for Aviva. A technology orientated GM, Elie has a strategic, commercial and execution focussed background having previously worked for eBay, RBS and Arthur Andersen. He was also the Founder and CEO of Loocl, a hyper-local deals marketplace which was launched and acquired in under three years. Elie has a first class honours degree in Computing Science with a sub major in International Management. He is also an active Start Up Advisor and member of Mensa.
